Which Mulch Variety is best for you?
(We have 8 types to choose from!)
Hardwood Shredded Mulch
Our most popular type of mulch and more cost efficient than our other varieties!
Dyed Chestnut Red Mulch
The Chestnut Red Mulch is a newer color shade in our dyed mulch family. Like our other dyed varieties, these dyed mulches hold their color longer and provide less color loss than the hardwood shredded mulch. They provide a better long term value.
Dyed Dark Walnut Mulch
The Dyed Dark Walnut Mulch is a modern replacement for the Hardwood Shredded Mulch. It's a vibrant chocolate shade that enhances any flower bed or tree base. Like our other dyed varieties, these dyed mulches hold their color longer and provide less color loss than the hardwood shredded mulch. They provide a better long term value.
Dyed Black Mulch
The Dyed Black Mulch is the In-Season Mulch of the moment! Perfect for enhancing any Halloween decorations and attracting trick-or-treaters! Call today and ask about our deviously dark mulch sale for the Halloween season. Like our other dyed varieties, these dyed mulches hold their color longer and provide less color loss than the hardwood shredded mulch. They provide a better long term value.
Dyed Red-Red Mulch
We have the Red-Red mulch you have been searching for! Like our other dyed varieties, these dyed mulches hold their color longer and provide less color loss than the hardwood shredded mulch. They provide a better long term value.
Regular Pine Mulch
Pine mulches are a unique alternative to regular shredded mulches. They have a higher acid content and are great for azaleas. They also tend to last longer than other types of mulches. Pine mulches are very lightweight, which make them easier to spread, but inappropriate for hilly landscapes. They also add aluminum to the soil, which helps promote green and leafy plant growth.
Pine Nuggets
These pine nuggets are the easiest to apply to any landscape! Pine bark is long lasting, and after it eventually breaks down, it enriches the soil with organic material. Keep in mind that Pine Nuggets tend to last the longest of all the mulching categories, but these nuggets can have the tendency to float away. They would not be best for areas that are susceptible to pooling or moving water.
Fine Pine Mulch
Fine Pine mulch is an excellent soil conditioner and supports plant growth due to its' density level. It retains moisture better than other mulch variations and regulates soil temperature. Like other Pine Mulches it is very lightweight, but also can wash away easily.
